Yes, we are big dorks - we gave our dog a 1st birthday party. All my dogs had first birthday parties. And each year since they still get a new toy and a special treat of some time (a cupcake usually) on their special day. Marlie's first birthday was a little more special because I made her little cake - peanut butter and dog bones, with a doggie chew stick as her "candle". And I also made her hat! How cute is she???? I cut the title with my Expression with the All Mixed Up Cartridge, welded with my gypsy.
These are some of my favorite pictures of my Daddy. He passed away in 1994, so I treasure what I have all the more. Him sticking his tongue out is classic daddy, if you knew him, you know this! Him teaching me to ride my bike, and lovin' on me after I got a HUGE shiner when I feel on our front sidewalk. I was DADDY'S GIRL! Ask anyone???

You're not dorky because you love your little babies! Your little pups are very lucky to be a part of your family! I think it's cute celebrating their birthdays!
ReplyDeleteI lost my father when I was in high school 40 years ago. I miss him so much, because I too was a "daddy's girl!" I'm just happy that I can still remember all the good times we had together.
