Love, Elsie Roxie

Just a simple card for today. Skull image was stamped in Memento Black Ink and colored with Copics. Sorry I don't remember which colors I used. (oops!) "You Rock" was stamped after coloring with Copic Markers and huffing on the stamp. I then outlined the letters & added a few doodles with a blank fine line pen.
Cardstock is Georgia Pacific from Wal-Mart.

Thanks for your patience while we work out the blog issues. Have a great day! I am off to a scrapbook workshop tomorrow night and an all day crop on Saturday - WOOHOO!

YOU ROCK!

OK so my nephew turned 15 at the beginning of the month. I remember the day he was born, where did all that time go??? He is such a cool kid, and I really had a hard time coming up with a cool, NOT little boy, birthday card. How'd I do???

here is the inside of the card...

Supplies:
Kraft & White Cardstock from Hobby Lobby
DCWV RockStar Mat Stack (skull paper, guitar paper, stripe)
Walnut Stain Distress Ink
Brody Drummer Z Stamp by Just Johanna Odd Bird Planet
You Rock & Star stamps are Love, Elsie by KI Memories
happy birthday by Unity Stamps

I tried to grunge up the inside to make it look very ROCK-like. I hope I was successful, of course even with money in the card I never heard if he liked it or not...oh well that's a 15 year old for ya! LoL!

I would love to hear how you liked this card, or have you become a follower. I spent yesterday afternoon on a "date" with my hubs. That hasn't happened in over a year and a half on a Saturday night. Nice dinner, ran a few errands, riding around with the windows down & having an ice cream cone. That's the life!!! Have a super day!

Rub-Ons GONE WILD

I had this sheet of patterned paper. I honestly don't even know where it came from. It was the sweetest shade of pink with these cute little retro dots on it. I have wanted to use this "dag-gone" (don't ya love my word there) piece of paper forever now, and finally this sweet picture of our Marlie & Keith was perfect for it. But WHAT on earth was I going to match to it? I found some great colors of cardstock, but they were SO BRIGHT, but nothing else matched. So here it is - RUB-ONs GONE WILD!!!!! Totally fitting for April Fool's Day.

I had this stash of DCWV Rub-ons I had bought from QVC last year, and some Love, Elsie rub-ons I got at Hobby Lobby (I think). And I decided to just do it. And so I began to layer. The white DCWV went on first, and then I sprinkled the colored Love, Elsie rub-ons around. The piece of Chipboard was sort of hanging out, and it got "rub'd on" to!
Supplies:
DCWV Blue Cardstock
CTMH Pink Cardstock
Patterned Paper - UNKNOWN
DCWV Whimsical Rub-ons
Love, Elsie Rub-ons
Chipboard is Autumn Leaves
